DIAMOND DISCS

LAPCRAFT Diamond Lapping Discs have a dense population of diamond crystals electroplated to a .032" thick, smooth steel circular section. The diamond surfaces are available with or without a backing plate. The backing plates are constructed of 3/8" thick solid aluminum discs precision machined for flatness. All diamond sections without backing plates are available with or without PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) backing.

DIAMOND LAPS are ideal diamond tools for use in grinding and polishing to generate precision flat surfaces. Use to grind and polish carbide, ceramics and glass. It is the best lap on the market today for faceting gemstones. Also used to re-sharpen PCD, PCBN, carbide and ceramic inserts or engraving tools.

• Backing plates are constructed of 3/8" solid aluminum that are precision machined for flatness.

• All diamond sections are available with or without PSA backing.

• All discs are available with or without arbor hole. Standard arbor hole is 1/2". Other arbor sizes are available to customer specifications.

• Textured discs are designed for faster stock removal. The design allows for a cleaner cut because of less chip interference. They offer a special advantage when used on more heat sensitive materials. The "Islander" textured surface also helps eliminate beveled edges caused by hydro-planning on larger parts.

• Special diameters and grit sizes are available to customer specifications.

• Magnetic mount backs also available.
